Free classroom scoreboard for team points

Put the board on the projector or smartboard, name up to 8 teams, and tap a team to give it a point. Use +5 for a big answer and the minus key to take a point back. The leading team wears a crown, so the class can see who is ahead from the back row.

It works for table groups, houses, rows, review games, quiz rounds, and behaviour points. For a two-team match with a live viewer link, the online scoreboard is simpler.

Add points from your phone while the board is on the projector

After the first point, a QR code appears under the board. Scan it with your phone and you are holding the same scoreboard: award a point to the table that just answered while you walk the room, and it shows on the projector. A co-teacher or classroom helper can scan it too.

This is the same shared counter that event teams use to count one crowd from several doors, pointed at team points instead.

Is this classroom scoreboard free?

Yes. Add teams, award points, and share the live board without an account. Nothing to install on the classroom computer or on your phone.

How many teams can I track?

From 2 to 8 teams. Rename each one for table groups, houses, rows, or review game teams. Add or remove teams before the first point; once the board is live, the teams stay fixed.

Can I add points from my phone while the board is on the projector?

Yes. After the first point, scan the QR code under the board with your phone. Points you add on the phone show on the projected board, and points added on the board show on the phone.

Can students change the score?

Only someone with the live link can add or remove points. Keep the QR code for yourself or a helper rather than showing it to the whole class.

Does the score save if I refresh the page?

Not on this page. The live link keeps the points while it is open. To keep the board for the next lesson, save it to a free SnapCount account.

Is there a classroom scoreboard app?

This page runs in any browser, so it works on a smartboard, a Chromebook, or a phone. SnapCount is also a free iPhone app if you want it on your home screen.
