Production counts per worker, live on the floor's phones

Each worker gets their own counter group on their phone, with the same counter names in every group, such as one counter per product or grade. The Totals tab adds every worker into one live total per item, and on Pro a watch-only live view puts those totals on a floor TV as a production board. Each day's count per worker is kept and exports as CSV or JSON on Pro, so nobody adds up paper tally sheets after the shift.

A tally sheet hides each worker's count until someone adds it up

Without SnapCount

  • A paper tally sheet per worker, added up by hand after every shift
  • Workers cannot see where they stand until the sheets are totaled
  • The day's total per product waits on whoever does the paperwork
  • An MES or machine monitoring system is more than a small floor needs

With SnapCount

  • A group for every worker, with a counter for each product or grade
  • Each unit goes in on a phone as it is finished
  • The Totals tab adds each product up across every worker as they count
  • On Pro, a watch-only live view puts the totals on a floor TV
  • On Pro, each day's count per worker exports as CSV or JSON for whoever runs pay
  • One flat price for the whole floor, not a bill per seat

What you get

What every worker gets

  • A group per worker, a counter per product

Name a group for each worker and give it the products or grades they make. Use the same counter names in every group so the totals add up. A tap adds 1, and on Pro you can set the step so one tap adds a full bundle or case.

  • One live total per item

When workers' groups share counter names, the Totals tab adds each item up across all of them as anyone counts. Open an item to see how much each worker added.

  • A production board on the floor TV

    Pro and Enterprise

Open a watch-only live view of the totals, or of one worker's group, on a TV, laptop, or phone. A watch-only screen needs no seat.

  • Each day saved per worker

    Pro and Enterprise

Counters stay saved day after day. Export daily totals per worker and per item by date range as CSV or JSON, or have a report emailed to the office on a schedule.

How it works

How a shared count runs

One counter per worker, store, or zone, one phone per person, and one total the manager can read from anywhere.

  1. 01

    A group for every worker

Make a group for each worker you tally on paper today, with a counter for each product or grade. Use the same names in every group so the totals add up.

  2. 02

    Count on the floor's phones

Each worker opens the count on their own phone, or a shared phone at the station, by QR code or invite, and taps each unit in as it is finished.

  3. 03

Put the board on the TV

On Pro and Enterprise, open the totals as a watch-only live view on a floor TV, so everyone sees the shift's numbers as they move.

  4. 04

    Send up the day

On Pro, export the day's totals per worker and per item as CSV or JSON, or email them to the office on a schedule.

Illustrative sample. Each worker sees their own number during the shift, and the floor TV shows the total per item as they count.

SnapCount counts by manual taps only: no barcode scanning, sensors, cameras, or automated people counting. It records what each worker taps; it is not an MES or a payroll system, and it does not calculate pay. Last updated: October 5, 2026

Customer testimonial: My guys love the transparency and visibility that SnapCount provides. This has been a drastic improvement over my paper and pencil system I was using.

What SnapCount is not on a production floor

  • Workers count by tapping. There is no machine, PLC, or sensor connection, and nothing is counted on its own.
  • There is no barcode scanning and no camera counting.
  • It is not an MES: no work orders, routings, downtime tracking, or OEE.
  • It is not a payroll system. For piece rate, it gives each worker's count by day for whoever runs pay; it does not calculate pay.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track piece rate counts per worker?

Yes, the counting part. Each worker has their own group, taps each piece in as it is finished, and sees their own count live. On Pro, each day's count per worker and per item exports as CSV or JSON for whoever runs pay. SnapCount does not calculate pay or rates.

Can a small factory track production per worker without a full MES?

Yes, if the counting is done by hand today. SnapCount replaces the paper tally sheet, not an MES: workers tap on phones, the Totals tab adds every worker into one live total per item, and Pro keeps each day's numbers. It has no machine or PLC connection, work orders, or downtime tracking.

Can I get totals per shift?

The live count shows the shift so far. On Pro, daily totals per worker and per item export by date range, so with one shift a day each row is that shift. For two or more shifts a day, Enterprise exports every tap with its exact time, so the day can be split at shift change. Counters do not reset on their own at shift change; on Enterprise, a scheduled daily reset can start them at zero at a set time.

Can each worker see their own count?

Yes. A worker counting on their own phone sees their group's numbers change as they tap. On Pro and Enterprise, a worker's group, or the floor totals, can also run as a watch-only live view on a phone or a TV. A watch-only link needs no seat.

Can I show a production board on a floor TV?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Open the totals as a watch-only live view and it fills the screen with one live total per item, updating as workers tap. Changing which groups it adds up keeps the same link.

Can I export the counts?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Export a snapshot of current counts, or daily totals per worker and per item by date range, as CSV or JSON, or have the daily CSV emailed at a set time. Enterprise adds every tap as its own row with its exact time.

Is the price per worker?

No. Plans are per organization, not per seat. Pro covers 10 teammates and Enterprise has unlimited teammates, so a bigger floor does not raise the bill per head, and a watch-only live view needs no seat. See the pricing page for current prices.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. A free guest session runs one live count on up to 10 devices for 1 hour, and up to 4 while you keep counting. Nothing is saved when it ends, so move to a paid plan for daily counts per worker, history, and exports.
