Your office manager is out again, and the tally sheets that take all day to add up are waiting.

Each builder's count by grade, live on the yard's phones

Each stack is tapped in as it is picked up, and every builder watches their own total by grade. You see every builder and every grade added up, and each day's numbers are saved without a tally sheet.

Customer testimonial: My guys love the transparency and visibility that SnapCount provides. This has been a drastic improvement over my paper and pencil system I was using.
Robert Lane48forty Solutions, Georgia

A pallet recycling yard in Georgia counts each builder's stacks by grade on SnapCount every day.

A tally sheet hides each builder's count until someone adds it up

Without SnapCount

  • A tally sheet per builder, added up by hand after every shift
  • Builders cannot see where they stand until the paperwork is done
  • When the person who does the tally is out, the day's numbers wait
  • Totals per grade across the yard take a spreadsheet or a macro

With SnapCount

  • A group for every builder, with a counter for each grade
  • Each stack goes in on a phone as it is picked up
  • Every builder can watch their own total live, on a phone or a TV
  • The Totals tab adds each grade up across every builder as you count
  • Each day's numbers export as a CSV for the office or the district manager
  • One flat price for the whole yard, not a bill per seat

What you get

What every builder gets

  • A group per builder, a counter per grade

Name a group for each builder and give it the grades you build: A's, B's, AAA, Milk, Specialty. A tap adds 1, so a stack you count as 1 on paper is one tap.

  • Totals per grade across the yard

When builders' groups share counter names, the Totals tab adds each grade up across all of them as anyone counts. Open a grade to see how much each builder added.

  • A live view each builder can watch

    Pro and Enterprise

Open a watch-only live view of a builder's group, or of the yard totals, on a phone or a TV. A watch-only link needs no seat.

  • Each day saved

    Pro and Enterprise

Counters stay saved day after day. Export daily totals by date range as CSV or JSON, or have a report emailed to the office on a schedule.

How it works

How a shared count runs

One counter per worker, store, or zone, one phone per person, and one total the manager can read from anywhere.

  1. 01

    A group for every builder

Make a group for each builder you tally on paper today, with a counter for each grade. Use the same grade names in every group so the totals add up.

  2. 02

    Count on the yard's phones

Open the count on the phones the yard already has, by QR code or invite, and tap each stack in as it is picked up.

  3. 03

Put the numbers where builders see them

On Pro and Enterprise, open a builder's live view, or the yard totals, on a phone or a TV so everyone sees where they stand during the shift.

  4. 04

    Send up the day

On Pro, export the day's totals per builder and per grade as CSV or JSON, or email them to the office on a schedule.

Illustrative sample. Each builder sees their own number during the shift, and the A's total across the yard adds up as they count.

SnapCount counts by manual taps only: no scales, scanners, sensors, or cameras. It records what your team taps; it does not calculate pay. Last updated: October 1, 2026

Frequently asked questions

Can each builder see their own count?

Yes. On Pro and Enterprise, each builder's group has a watch-only live view you can open on a phone or a TV. A watch-only link needs no seat.

Can I see totals per grade across all builders?

Yes. When builders' groups use the same counter names, such as A's and B's, the Totals tab adds each grade up across every builder as anyone counts. Open a grade to see how much each builder added.

Can a stack count as one?

Yes. A tap adds 1, so a stack you count as 1 on paper is one tap. On Pro, you can set a different step if one tap should add more.

Is the price per builder?

No. Plans are per organization, not per seat. Pro covers 10 teammates, Enterprise has unlimited teammates, and a watch-only live view needs no seat. See the pricing page for current prices.

What happens where the signal drops?

Taps made without signal are held on the phone for up to 24 hours and sent, without double counting, when the connection returns. Live totals on other phones need a connection.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. A free guest session runs one live count on up to 10 devices for 1 hour, and up to 4 while you keep counting. Nothing is saved when it ends, so move to a paid plan for daily counts, history, and exports.
