Set up an alert

An admin adds an alert to a counter, in its settings under Automation, or to a group. An alert fires at one of:

  • At capacity: the counter's goal or the group's capacity.
  • A percent of that goal or capacity, from 1 to 100.
  • A number you type.

An organization can keep up to 20 alerts.

Who hears about it

A fired alert lands in the dashboard inbox and, if you choose, in the email of the owners, the admins, and whoever made the alert. It also sends the threshold.alert.fired webhook.

An alert fires once, then waits until the count drops back below the line before it can fire again. A cooldown, 60 minutes unless you change it (5 minutes to 24 hours), stops repeats.

Alerts help a team watch a count. They are not a safety, legal, or fire-code certification. Confirm capacity rules with your venue and the relevant authorities.
